What could be cooler than a marker that you could make OBJECTS with? So when we were given the opportunity to try out the AtmosFlare 3D pen, we grabbed at it. It was fascinating to watch the printer arms move back and forth, their “printouts” growing taller with each pass. There were several 3D printers in there, and they were in the middle of bringing student’s designs “to life,” as it were, giving actual dimension to what formerly had been just a drawing on paper.

One of the neatest things we saw wasn’t officially part of the tour it was in the library, in a back room. Last year we went on a college tour with the then-senior. All views are my own, however.Ĭombine one crafty tween, one lazy afternoon, and one new artistic medium and what do you get? Well, it ain’t boredom, that’s for sure!
